AluShapes
was formed in May 1998 by Wolf Breit and Ed Buttress and is located at
Somersby, near Gosford on the Central Coast
(VIEW MAP) about 50 minutes from Central Sydney on the
Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. This new business venture extruded its first product
in February, 1999 and has since then developed a wide range of services aimed
to satisfy your aluminium needs.
Our purpose designed plant on 2.5 acres of land in Somersby houses our 1000
tonne indirect press. Over 2000 exclusive and standard extrusion dies are now
available. Since 2001 we have expanded our Fabricating and Components
Manufacturing activities, and have invested in a wide range of specialised
equipment, a Multicam CNC flat bed Router being our latest addition in
2008.
We operate three business streams from our Somersby location:
– extrusions of all sizes from our own indirect press and sourced from our
Australian and offshore associates;
– converting extrusions into fabricated parts and components to your
specification;
–
supplying standard geometrics, sheet and plate ex stock from our factory retail
outlet.
Our Sales Executives are located in Sydney and Somersby. Alushapes DIRECT, Production, Progress Enquiries and Accounts are at Somersby. Our MD is in Sydney.
