New Force in Aluminium Extrusion
AluShapes has been producing aluminium extrusions at Somersby, near Gosford on the NSW Central Coast since 1998. Our capabilities derive from our two in-house aluminium extrusion presses which complement each other to satisfy your aluminium extrusion needs:
- A 1000mt indirect press installed in 1998 specialises in smaller, more complex and tighter tolerance aluminium extrusion profiles.
- A new 1880ust short stroke direct press which came into operation in January 2012. This very productive state-of-the-art press produces the full range of commercial aluminium extrusions to a maximum size of 230mm circumscribing circle.
We operate three business streams from our Somersby location:
- AluShapes Extrusion - aluminium extrusions large and small from our two extrusion presses;
- AluShapes Fabrication - converting aluminium extrusions into fabricated parts and components to your specification;
- AluShapes DIRECT - supplying standard aluminium extrusion profiles, sheet and plate ex stock from our factory retail outlet.
We are located in purpose designed buildings on 2.5 acres on the Somersby Industrial Estate, about 50 minutes from Central Sydney.
Our Sales Executives, AluShapes DIRECT, Production, Progress Enquiries and Accounts are located at Somersby. Our Managing Director is based at our Milsons Point office in Sydney.

Extrusion
Our in-house 1000 tonne indirect extrusion press specialises in producing tight tolerance, rapid turnaround and more complicated profiles. Our new 1800 ust short stroke direct press commissioned in January 2012 produces profiles up to 230mm circumscribed circle with rapid turnaround time.

Fabrication
In addition to our Multicam CNC Flatbed Router, we are equipped with a wide range of automatic and manual docking saws for tight tolerance, cut-to-length extrusions. Drills, pneumatic punches, brake presses, bending and guillotining machinery enables us to perform most operations to a high quality standard, competitively.

Direct Sales
We hold an extensive range of aluminium stock at our Factory Warehouse. Visit our Factory Door cash sales counter, 7 Warringah Close, Somersby Industrial Estate, near Gosford on the Central Coast. We'll also make deliveries to your door on the Central Coast and Sydney (subject to minimum quantities).
